This is not the first day of my weight loss attempt. I have been trying to lose weight for longer than I can remember.
It’s not that I’ve been obese my whole life, but I was never a skinny child. It wasn’t until I was 11 and had to spend almost 2 years avoiding physical activity, which all but alienated me from my friends, that I really turned into the ultimate emotional eating machine.
It wasn’t until just a few years ago that I finally sought some help, and I have been working on finding different ways to soothe the savage beast. This is just my newest tool.
So, let’s take a look at the numbers, shall we?
Original (latest) Start Date: July 19, 2008
Original Starting Weight: 389 pounds
Original Goal Weight: 174 pounds
Original Weight to Lose: 215 pounds (*faint*)
Current Weight: 331 pounds
Current Goal Weight: 175 to 180 pounds
Current Weight to Lose: 151 to 156 pounds (I’m still passed out from the first faint)
Goal Rate of Loss: 5 pounds per month, which is a little faster than the recommended 1 pound per week
Time to lose weight: 30 to 31 months, about 2 1/2 years
